I Made It To The Cabin

Daddy and I made it to the Minnesota cabin yesterday. It was a long day and I took three naps. That's right three naps! There was a little fussing, but I was pretty good for the most part.

The fun really began today. After breakfast we had to feed the ducks.

Then I went shopping with Grandma. I needed some shorts, daddy forgot mine, and it was hot! We had a good time, I got some chocolate milk!

Then Grandma and Grand-Bob brought out the toys. I soon found my favorite. It just happened to be my cousin Gavin's favorite too. A little red wagon.

My second favorite is definitely the stuffed bear I found in my room when I got here. I named him Oso (one of my favorite Disney shows and Oso is also spanish for bear). Turns out Oso likes to ride in the wagon too.

He kept falling over so I decided to put a seat belt on him.

It was a BIG day. After dinner I was feeling pretty sleepy, so I asked Daddy to finish this blog.

I Sprung A Leak!

It was fun while it lasted.

But, my Swim Tube Trainer sprung a leak. As you can tell from the video below I was not very happy.

Since it has been very warm in the Bay Area the last couple of days daddy didn't want me to miss any good swimming days, so we went shopping.

I insisted that we stay with the tube model, but daddy wanted me to try something different (something that wouldn't pop). So this is what we decided on.

It doesn't keep me very high in the water, so I am having to learn very quickly how to keep my mouth closed.

Here is my new float in action.

Frisbee Skills

Just wanted to show off my new Frisbee skills. Daddy bought me my first Frisbee today...

In no time at all I was getting the hang of it!

Poor San Francisco Giants

My local baseball team has been having a tough stretch the last couple of weeks. We went to a game last weekend, we rode the train into the city, you know how I love the Choo-choo train!

I missed my nap, and the game was pretty slow, so it wasn't long before...

It was still a great day and we had a good time plus the Giants beat the Padres in 11 innings.

I think mommy and daddy like the views more than the baseball games.

Roaring Beach - Part 2

I always heard the legend of the infamous "Roaring Beach" from my Uncle Dave. He tells the story of an enormous 2 and a half foot wave that came crashing down on him, when he was little, during a family vacation to the beach.

Well I can assure you that the Roaring Beach is real! Daddy and I went to the beach with mommy so she could train for her marathon. We had only been there a short time and I had already felt the cold water on my feet, it was really cold! I was already not very happy about the cold feet, when all of a sudden a HUGE wave came crashing down in front of us, hit me at about thigh level and knocked me down. I was wet, cold, and crying, daddy felt bad, so we promptly left the danger of the water, and started collecting sea shells instead.

It was only after this whole ordeal that daddy showed me this sign:

Ride 'em Horsey

This weekend was full of activity!

I went shopping with mommy.

I got chocolate milk from McDonald's. (I actually got two because they messed up the order. Lucky me!)

We rode bikes next to the ocean on Saturday (and Sunday). I really like riding bikes these days. My helmet fits much better, and I am able to look around and point out my favorite things along the bike bath. I always let daddy know when the bridges are coming up.

Sunday was especially fun! Mommy needed to run a long way for her marathon, so daddy and I went to a local farm that has lots of animals, and activities.

Here are the ducks, I had to go back 3 times to see the ducks, they were a lot of fun and very busy.

Also the baby goats were just my size.

But that's not all, they also have pony rides! Yee Haw! I was super excited, right up until this big guy picked me up an put me on the pony. At that point I was ready to end my ride after about 2 seconds, but the big guy assured me that everyone liked my horse (Cookie) and I shouldn't worry. When I realized Daddy was the one leading my horse I was much happier. Cookie was a very nice horse and we took 4 trips around the corral, before I was ready to dismount.

After my ride we had to go back and check on mommy. We finally found mommy and then it was off to get some lunch.

Jonas Quotes

Last week Jonas asked very nicely for some milk. So I go to the fridge to get him some milk. I open the door, and (this is a rare occurrence) no milk. I turn to Jonas and say 'Oh no, Jonas we are out of milk.' Jonas replied with his usual 'Let's go Safeway, Daddy!'. He says this if we run out of anything. So we pile into the car to pick up some groceries.
Jonas is a big help at the grocery store, I tell him what we need, and if he is familiar with the item, he sprints to where it is, and I try to keep up. Then he screams 'What's next, Daddy?'. I hear this about 20 times on a typical trip to the store, as do our fellow shoppers.
After we fill our cart, check out, and head for home. Jonas from the back seat says 'Bye-bye out-milk.'
I guess he was glad we bought some milk.

Going To The Park

Daddy and I also like to go to the park, to play on the slides, or to play soccer, or to have a picnic. Our latest visit to the park was a lot of fun. We rode our bike to the local Redwood City Park, it's a little more than a mile away. They have big fields, and a big sandbox around the jungle gym and swings. We played on the slides for a while...

But I could not find a slide that challenged my sliding skills, so it was off to something new.

I wanted to build a sand castle, but the sand was pretty dry, so I decided to make a big sand mountain and decorate it.

Daddy gave me the idea with the leaf flag pole.

Now that is a nicely decorated sand mountain! If I do say so myself.

My idea quickly spread across the vast sand landscape. Soon there were sand mountains being decorated everywhere.

Caution: Be on the lookout for the little girl in the orange skirt. She is a crafty sand mountain decoration stealer.

Time To Get Wet!

The pool has quickly turned into one of my favorite things to do on a warm afternoon. I no longer dislike getting in the pool, even though I know it will be cold at first. Sometimes Daddy and I have races, or splash fights, or see who can make the biggest splash, but sometimes I just want to get some splashing practice in by my self...

Tennis - The Early Years

I wanted to let everyone know that I have started playing tennis. Now that I'm 3, Daddy thought it was time for me to get serious about some individual sports, so he bought me a new tennis racket and some practice balls. Here are a couple videos of my first practice session...

Next week, time to hit the links!
