Giants Game #2

On Saturday we wanted to show April some of the sights of San Francisco. So, we took her across the Golden Gate bridge, and had lunch in Sausalito. We went back downtown, and had some yummy Ghirardelli chocolate and ice cream. Then it was off to the baseball game.

Keeping my eyes open during pictures is not easy.

It was a nice day for a game!

My first kite!

On Sunday, we went down to the beach hoping for some wind to fly my new surf board kite. The wind let us down, but we still had fun trying to fly our kite.

Getting everything straight was hard work.

I had to get untangled several times.

Almost ready!

I had to hold it up really high!

We had to run really far.

We tried over and over without success.

But we finally got it up in the air...for a little while.

I Love It When We Have Visitors!

Our most recent guest was Mommy's great friend April from Georgia. We had a great time on her visit. On her first full day, April, Daddy and I went to the Happy Hollow Park & Zoo in San Jose. We had a GREAT time!

We climbed on the rope bridge.

We were able to pet some baby goats.

I got to ride in a lady bug.

We rode the merry-go-round - Hold on tight April!

I drove a fire engine.

We also lots of animals:

I also went for a ride on my first roller coaster, but I think my favorite part of the day was the merry-go-round.

The Happy Birthday Song

One of my favorite songs is still the Happy Birthday Song, even though I don't know anyone with a birthday yesterday, I still wanted to practice singing.

I don't need any help, Mommy...

See!

I am also practicing for a Happy Birthday Song race!

Now that was fast!

See you later alligator.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

I went to my very first baseball game last night. I had a great time. (You know it's going to be a good night when you get to ride the Choo-Choo train.) I watched the Giants host the Braves. Mommy wants me to be a Giants fan (she is even bribing me with a brand new Giants jersey), and Daddy wants me to be a Braves fan, guess you could say we are a "house divided." For now, to make it easy I just cheer when everyone else cheers. Mainly, I just like flirting with the cute girls in my section. One even gave me her brand new San Francisco Giants balloon hat - those Giants fans sure are nice.

Too bad, I can't do a "Thumbs Up" yet - but I'm trying...

I was able to see the post-game fireworks. I liked calling out the colors of each one.
Oh, and if anyone is interested, the Braves won the game 7 - 2.

Easter Express

Today we drove to Santa Cruz to ride the Easter Express. The park was beautiful, and the train ride was tranquil – until of course, the Easter Bunny showed up - then it was Easter anarchy with screaming kids running down the aisles, chasing that bunny and their paparazzi parents hoping for the million dollar shot. I played it cool – stayed in my seat, and simply provided a relaxed high-five. (Truth be told, that rabbit kind of freaked me out...)

Enjoying the view, while waiting for the train.

Here come's Peter Cotton Tail coming down the...

Easter Egg Hunting at Half Moon Bay

Seeing as we were blessed with beautiful weather and I need to brush up on my egg hunting skills for tomorrow, I was able to get in quick practice round on the coast today.

What a view!

Egg hunting can be hard work.

Skiing in Tahoe

Over the weekend, I had my first California National Park adventure. On a whim, we threw our coats and some toboggans in the car and headed towards the snow. And the snow did not disappoint. Thank goodness daddy's Man vs. Nature episode ended well - as did my first skiing experience (see movie below).

My toboggan.

This is as close as I get to the slopes!
I think that's Daddy on the ski lift.
BBBRRRRRR!!!!!!

Easter Preparations

As the tradition dictates, today I participated in the coloring of the huevos for the upcoming annual Easter egg hunt. I hope that bunny appreciates my pièce de résistance (or in español: obra maestro).
