O Árbol de Navidad

FYI (according to Wikipedea):

The custom of erecting a Christmas tree can be traced to 16th century Northern Germany, though neither an inventor nor a single town can be identified as the sole origin for the tradition. The Christmas tree is a decorated evergreen coniferous tree, real or artificial, and a popular tradition associated with the celebration of Christmas. The Christmas tree is often brought into a home, but can also be used in the open, and can be decorated with Christmas lights (originally candles), ornaments, garlands and tinsel during the days around Christmas. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity.

Árbol de navidad then and Árbol de navidad now...

I am more into Christmas Decorations Management...

This looks like the perfect spot!

We do need some more decorations right over there.

We would have never finished this project without my close supervision.

BUSTED!!!

Tonight, mommy's iControl Networks' home management motion detector caught me in action.

Right now, of course, I am "systematically, testing the fence for weaknesses."

But when I'm a teenager...I'll be ready!

Day at the Apple Orchard

Autumn is prime time for visiting our local North Georgia apple orchard. In addition to the traditional apple harvesting process, I quite enjoyed all the other activities as well including milking Buttercup the Cow, taking a tractor ride, sliding down their gigantesco slide, and visiting the petting zoo. The hot and fresh fried apple pies and apple fritters were delicioso too! Here are some pictures from our day at the orchard...

Mommy and Daddy gave me a few tips on picking the perfect apple.

Guess they are right,
the apples really don't fall far from the tree...

I found that putting them into the basket was as fun
as pouring them out!

Buttercup, the Vaca
MOOOOOOO!!!!

I am a natural on the tractor.

WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Apple picking is fun!

The 5th Beatle

Laying on a blanket in the middle of Piedmont Park, relishing the timeless tunes of Sir Paul McCartney...not sure there is a better way to experience my first Rock&Roll concert. I especially enjoyed the opening song: "Baby, You Can Drive my Car" - mainly because many of this song's words are a staple in my growing vocabulary, including the words:

- Baby (Bebé)
- Car (Coche)
- Beep-Beep! (¡señal sonora!)
- Yeah! (¡sí!)

Daddy, they are playing my favorite song!

Of course, my rock and roll lifestyle sure is tiring!

Mommy, Daddy, and me, enjoying the concert!

Look, they made me an honorary Beatle!

Reaping the Rewards of Turning Two!

While my birthday has passed, I am still reaping the rewards of turning two. I have had fun playing with all my gifts but I have especially enjoyed the ones outlined below...

I quite enjoy working on my golf game. To my mommy's dismay, my drive is quite nice really, with only an occassional fade that lands my ball just off the fairway in mommy's potted plants. My short game on the otherhand needs a little work. As you can see from the photos below, playing off the wooden duck is NOT easy!

My favorite cartoon is Disney's Handy Manny so I am ecstatic to have my own dancing-tools Handy Manny toolbox! I know all the tools by name and especially love using the hammer and saw around the house.

I think this toy speaks for itself!!!

How do you separate the men from the boys?

By looking at their crib of course... I have recently been given a new lease on life, a life beyond the crib! Who knew the joys that being able to get up in the middle of the night and wake up mommy and daddy would bring? It sure is fun... Here I am in my big-boy crib!

My new crib is phat!

Hanging in my crib with daddy!

if you are done with the photos, apague por favor las luces!

We're Going to PUMP! You UP!

As daddy, my personal trainer, likes to tell me: "it is never too early to start toning and strengthening your muscles." So I've been doing some sets and working some reps with my free weights. And while these pictures may not do them justice, I have some serious guns and rock hard abs under this onesie...

Terrible Twos???

I don't know anything about 'em (or at least that is what I am telling my parents for now). So far, being two has been a piece of cake, literally. You can see my birthday party proof below...

¡Feliz cumpleaños a mí!

I would like to thank all the guests who could make it to my party, especially the ones who drove into Chattanooga from Atlanta!

Birthday at Bokita's

As I pondered my top restaurant choices for my birthday dinner, Bokita’s, a local Tapas place in Woodstock, came to mind almost immediately. While this may sound a little sophisticated for someone of my age, I have quite an advanced palate for a two-year old. Here were the items I thoroughly enjoyed:

Empanada de Cordero
Spanish savory pastry filled with lamb confit and dried fruit

Albondigas En Salsa de
Beef meat balls braised in a sweet and sour grape sauce

Platanos Tentacion
Fried yellow plantains served with savory Spanish seasonings

Bunuelo de Bacalao
Atlantic salt cod fritter of potato and leek

Birthday Flan
Traditional spanish custard for Birthday Boys!

Electricity Experimentation

Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality
